5. How matching works
We use the information you provide during onboarding to help create groups for meals.

Matching may take into account factors such as interests, background, availability, community, preferences and other onboarding answers.

Matching may be assisted by software, automation or AI-supported tools, but we may also review or adjust groups manually.

The purpose of matching is to improve the quality of the social experience. We do not use matching data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

6. What data we share with other participants
We do not share your full onboarding answers with other participants.

We may share limited table-level information where relevant, such as general group context or broad interests, but not sensitive personal answers or private profile information.

The only personal contact details we share with other participants are the details you specifically provide and confirm you are comfortable sharing.

For example, if you choose to share your LinkedIn profile after a meal, we may make that LinkedIn profile visible to the people who attended the same table.

You can choose not to share contact details.

Where required, we put appropriate data protection agreements in place with our providers.

9. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area.

Where this happens, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. How we keep your data secure
We take data security seriously. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, secure storage, limited internal access, authentication controls and operational safeguards.

We design the service so that participant data, onboarding answers and contact details are not publicly accessible and are not exposed through unauthorised APIs.

Only authorised people and systems should be able to access participant data where needed to operate the service.

However, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where required by law.
